Completion of 18 medical stations in the West of Gia Lai province
In the context of implementing two-level local government, the consolidation and improvement of the grassroots health system, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas in the western region of Gia Lai province, has made an important contribution to improving the quality of primary health care for the people.
As of September 2025, the province has completed the construction of 18 medical stations in the Western region, with a total investment of more than 98 billion VND. The project includes new construction and additional medical equipment, within the Investment Program for Developing the Primary Health Network in Difficult Areas of Gia Lai Province. The construction and repair of medical stations helps units have adequate facilities, ensuring conditions for performing professional tasks well, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people.

After the construction period, 18 medical stations have completed all items according to plan and will be handed over to localities for use after acceptance.
Previously, in the period of 2022 - 2024, Gia Lai province (before the administrative division) invested, upgraded and built 59 new commune-level health stations with a total capital of more than 130 billion VND from the Socio -Economic Recovery and Development Program in the health sector. This investment helps to consolidate and improve the grassroots health network, meeting the health care needs of the people, especially in remote and isolated areas and ethnic minority areas.
Currently, the medical stations after investment have met the requirements of facilities and specialized equipment to serve the people. This contributes to enhancing the ability to provide medical services locally, reducing the burden on the upper level and improving the quality of community health care.
In addition to infrastructure investment, the provincial health sector also rotates doctors to work at health stations to ensure a team of doctors to provide primary health care for people right at the grassroots level. This solution helps improve professional capacity at lower levels, while improving the lives and health of people in localities with socio-economic difficulties.

Gia Lai health sector gradually reformed administration to better serve people.
Administrative reform to better serve the people
Gia Lai health sector is gradually transforming from the "administrative management" model to "service and innovation", taking the satisfaction of people and patients as a measure of effectiveness. Administrative reform is identified as a key task, closely linked to the professional quality and service efficiency of the entire sector.
In the first 10 months of 2025, the provincial health sector completed 10/14 assigned tasks early, reaching 97.5% of the regular tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. The sector received more than 2,500 administrative records, of which more than 1,800 records were resolved on time; the remaining records are being processed according to regulations.
Gia Lai Department of Health has reduced 50% of the time to process administrative procedures, simplified documents, and saved nearly 20% of costs for people and businesses. The entire sector currently provides 138 online administrative procedures, of which 105 are at the full-process level, helping people and businesses easily perform public services anytime, anywhere.
After the merger, the entire provincial health sector currently has more than 9,670 staff, including 3,230 doctors and 409 pharmacists with university degrees or higher; 95.5% of commune health stations have doctors working. The sector is implementing a plan to recruit nearly 1,900 new officials, with priority given to attracting 125 doctors and pharmacists to supplement high-quality human resources for grassroots health.
By 2025, all medical facilities in the province will have completed the implementation of electronic medical records. The smart medical kiosk system helps people look up information, register and pay hospital fees online quickly and transparently.
The Health sector has also integrated 100% of level 4 public services into the Provincial Public Service Portal, connecting medical data with the National Population Database and the VNeID system, contributing to shortening processing time, reducing administrative paperwork and increasing convenience for people when examining and treating diseases.
Currently, the entire industry is highly focused on ensuring the reception and processing of online administrative records quickly, transparently and on time.
With the spirit of serving the people, Gia Lai Health sector is affirming its pioneering role in building a modern and humane health administration - for the health and trust of the people.
