Doctors from 8 hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City return to Can Gio, people are excited to go for medical examination and treatment

SKĐS - Today (November 10), Can Gio residents happily welcomed a group of doctors, nurses, and technicians from 8 major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to visit and provide health care at their home.

This is the first working day of the model "Tu Du Hospital, branch 2" - the first joint multidisciplinary model of the City, marking the beginning of the journey to bring high-quality medical services closer to the people of Can Gio coastal area.

Since 6am, Mrs. Phan Thi Lu (73 years old) has been at Can Gio Medical Center (formerly) - now Tu Du Hospital, branch 2, waiting to see a doctor. She shared with a gentle smile: "Knowing that doctors from the city are coming to Can Gio, I am very happy, so I went a little early" - Mrs. Lu shared.

Dr. Tuan Kiet of the Internal Medicine Department of Le Van Thinh Hospital gently placed the stethoscope on Mrs. Lu and asked: "How are you feeling, tell me."

Without telling her condition, Mrs. Lu replied: "The doctor in the city is both good and sweet-talking."

Mrs. Lu was examined by Dr. Tuan Kiet.

That simple conversation made the visit intimate and friendly with greetings mixed with gentle laughter.

100 medical staff served more than 60 patients examined on the first day.

In the morning alone, more than 60 people, from children, the elderly to pregnant women, came to Tu Du Hospital, branch 2, for examination.

Nearly 100 doctors, nurses and technicians from 8 hospitals including Tu Du Hospital, Eye Hospital, Ear - Nose - Throat Hospital, Le Van Thinh Hospital, Rehabilitation & Occupational Disease Treatment Hospital, Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital and Dentistry - Jaw - Face Hospital were present in Can Gio, fully equipped with internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics to serve the people.

Nurses at Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Traditional Medicine are taking care of people in Can Gio.

Previously, at 4:45 a.m., at Le Van Thinh Hospital, 19 doctors and 9 nurses and technicians received the decision to mobilize to support Can Gio.

After the instructions and encouragement of Dr. Tran Van Khanh - Director of the Hospital, the group immediately got on the car, crossed the bridge, and crossed the ferry while it was still early morning, to start medical examination and treatment activities on the first day at Tu Du Hospital, branch 2.

Doctors, nurses and technicians of Le Van Thinh Hospital received the decision to go to Can Gio from early morning.

The first step for the joint multidisciplinary model

Tu Du 2 Hospital operates under a joint multidisciplinary model, with the contribution of 8 hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City (Tu Du Hospital, Eye, Ear - Nose - Throat, Le Van Thinh, Rehabilitation & Occupational Disease Treatment, Traditional Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital, Dentistry - Jaw - Face).

With a joint multidisciplinary model, including skilled doctors, nurses, technicians and modern medical equipment, people in Can Gio have the opportunity to access specialized multidisciplinary medical services on the spot.

Pregnant woman Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung was examined by a doctor at Tu Du Hospital without having to travel more than 50km.

For the first time, having a doctor from Tu Du Hospital examine her pregnancy without having to take a car or take a ferry to the city center, pregnant woman Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung (born 1994) excitedly shared: "Having Tu Du doctors take care of the health of both mother and child, and it only took me 20 minutes by car, compared to the distance of more than 50km I had to travel to see the doctor before, I feel very excited" - pregnant woman Nhung shared.

Experts from Ho Chi Minh City Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease Treatment Hospital came to Can Gio to serve people.

Technicians at Le Van Thinh Hospital are preparing the CT scanner to receive patients scheduled for imaging.

In the general development picture of the City, Can Gio is gradually transforming itself, becoming a key marine ecological - tourism - economic area.
