In 2025, the military recruitment work was led, directed, and implemented synchronously, seriously, and closely by the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and Gia Lai Provincial Military Service Council.
Localities organize screening of citizens of military service age, political review according to regulations; review of subjects eligible for exemption, deferment, or not yet called up for military service; organize preliminary health screening for citizens of military age ready to join the army.

The Provincial Military Service Council organized a conference to coordinate military transfer with 14 units under the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5 and the Provincial Police; the district level organized coordination with units receiving soldiers at the regimental level and equivalent in accordance with regulations; military transfer reached 100% of the target. In particular, the quality of military transfer was ensured well, of which the intermediate, college and university level reached 5.70%, an increase of 1.07% compared to 2024; party members reached 1.56%, an increase of 0.09% compared to 2024.
To help citizens feel secure when leaving for military service, localities in Gia Lai province have also directed departments, branches, and socio-political organizations to do a good job of military rear policies, promptly visit and encourage families in difficult circumstances, and give gifts to citizens leaving for military service with a total amount of more than 2.7 billion VND.
At the conference, delegates discussed and pointed out some limitations, causes, lessons learned and proposed solutions to improve military recruitment in 2026.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in military recruitment in 2025.
