The Hon Trau wind power plant project (phase 1) has been approved for investment by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 4467/QD-UBND dated November 3, 2025.
The plant has a designed capacity of 750 MW, expected electricity output of about 2.8 billion kWh/year with a total investment of more than 48,372 billion VND, including compensation, support and resettlement costs of about 33.18 billion VND and project implementation costs of about 48,339 VND. The project implementation area is 49.62 hectares, of which more than 32 hectares of water surface area (sea area) are used for a limited period and 17.61 hectares of land area are used for a limited period.
The project's objective is to provide clean electricity from renewable energy sources to the national power system, contributing to ensuring national energy security, ensuring power supply to serve the socio-economic development needs of the province, and reducing power loss in the power transmission system.
The project, once put into stable operation, will contribute to the local budget revenue, create momentum to promote socio-economic development in the area, create jobs for people; at the same time, increase the value of industrial production, contributing to helping Gia Lai province achieve the target of double-digit economic growth in the coming time.
Interested investors who need to register to implement a project must carry out procedures to be granted a digital certificate and submit a project registration application on the national bidding network.
