Gia Lai: National Day for National Security Protection is held from July 1 to August 19.

(GLO)- On April 3, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung - Head of the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, Social Evils and Building a Movement for the Whole People to Protect National Security (ANTQ) of the province signed and issued a plan to organize the National ANTQ Protection Day in 2025.

The plan sets out activities towards the National Day for National Security Protection with key contents including: reviewing the historical tradition of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) associated with the great contribution of the People in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; assessing the situation and results of organizing the Festival in the past 20 years (2005-2025) at the grassroots level, pointing out difficulties, shortcomings, limitations, lessons learned and directions, tasks, and solutions to organize the Festival to attract the participation of the masses and promote the role and responsibility of the people for national security protection in the coming time; Commend, reward, encourage and motivate collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building the mass movement to protect national security.

Depending on specific conditions, localities and units organize the Festival in accordance with two main parts: the ceremony and the festival.

The ceremony includes: welcoming performance (if any); flag-raising ceremony; announcement of the reason, introduction of delegates, approval of the Festival program; commemorative speech reviewing the historical tradition of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, evaluating the results of 20 years of organizing the Festival and 3 building the movement of the entire people to protect national security, directions for the coming time; discussion and exchange of experience in building the movement; announcement of decisions and awarding of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of the entire people to protect national security; speeches and gifts from superior delegates; response speeches by the head of the Festival organizing unit; signing of emulation agreements, launching of models in the movement of the entire people to protect national security (if any); declaration of the end of the ceremony.

The festival can be held before or after the ceremony, including cultural and artistic activities, sports ... with the theme of mobilizing the entire population to participate in protecting national security.

Along with that are the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" activities of the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches, organizations and the People's Public Security force such as: coordinating medical examination and treatment for the people; mobilizing forces to repair and clean up rural roads; giving gifts to policy families, poor households, studious children; issuing Citizen Identification Cards and other personal identification papers to the people at the grassroots level; mobilizing the collection of weapons, explosives, support tools...

In addition, organize meetings, exchanges, discussions, and experience sharing between advanced models in the mass movement to protect national security; organize the forum "Police listen to people's opinions"; and a law learning contest...

The National Day for National Security Protection in the province will be held from July 1 to August 19. Educational institutions can organize it earlier to suit the learning program of students.

The festival is held in residential areas, communes, wards, towns, agencies, businesses, educational institutions, especially strategic areas, areas with complicated security and order, ethnic and religious areas.

The propaganda slogans are “Protecting the security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the cause of all people”; “Participating in the movement of all people to protect national security and order is the responsibility and right of all people”; “Complying with the Constitution and laws; participating in protecting national security, social order and safety and complying with the rules of community life is the duty of citizens”; “Warmly welcoming the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security and Order (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025)”; “Promoting patriotism and revolutionary heroism to firmly protect the security and order of the Fatherland”.

According to the Plan, the Provincial Festival is expected to be held at 5 locations in communes, wards and enterprises, including: Bo Ngoong commune (Chu Se district); Ia Krai commune (Ia Grai district); Ia Le commune (Chu Puh district); Thang Loi ward (Pleiku city) and Chu Se Rubber One Member Co., Ltd.

At the grassroots level, each locality selects at least 20% of the units that organize the Festival to evaluate and learn from experience before organizing it at the remaining locations, creating a widespread impact to encourage cadres and people.
