On October 29, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued a document requesting the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committee of Dak Doa commune, and FLC Group Joint Stock Company (FLC Group) to strengthen the protection of pine forests in the area.

Beautiful bonsai pine trees have been dug up and wrapped in pots, waiting to be brought out for sale.
Accordingly, after reviewing the proposal of Gia Lai Provincial Police on resolving the illegal exploitation of pine forests in Dak Doa commune, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested FLC Group to comply with its commitment when implementing the Dak Doa Golf Course Project and be responsible for managing and taking care of the pine trees of the project; promptly propose solutions and immediately implement the protection of the pine forest area of the project.
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also assigned Dak Doa Commune People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Provincial Police and relevant agencies and units to develop coordination regulations between forces to strengthen patrol and control work in pine forest areas to detect, prevent and promptly handle subjects stealing pine trees and consuming stolen property.
Strengthen propaganda work to the people, especially ethnic minorities, to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, not to violate or assist in the theft of pine trees in the commune.

The ancient pine tree was crowded at the base and its trunk was still oozing sap.
As CAND Online reported, many ancient pine trees with beautiful bonsai shapes in the pine forest in Dak Doa commune were marked and selected by the subjects, then their branches and twigs were pruned, the roots were dug up, and the pots were bundled and ready to be taken out for sale. This pine forest area is partly managed by the locality and partly assigned to FLC Group to implement the Dak Doa golf course project.
According to the people, the Dak Doa pine forest was planted in 1976 and many of the trees have beautiful bonsai shapes, worth tens to hundreds of millions of dong, so the subjects still ignore and secretly exploit them. In addition, in this area, many pine trees have been crushed at the base, the trunks are still oozing sap and showing signs of dying.
