Gia Lai and Champasak promote cooperation and investment programs for mutual development

(GLO)- Continuing the visit and traditional New Year greetings of Bun Pi May in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on the afternoon of April 9, a delegation of high-ranking officials of Gia Lai province led by Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh visited and wished a happy New Year to officials and people of Champasak province.

In the atmosphere of the traditional Bun Pi May New Year, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh sent greetings to the officials and people of all ethnic groups in Champasak province for good health, happiness and success in the new year.

The Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee hoped that the leaders of the two provinces would continue to consolidate and promote the special solidarity, friendship and close ties between the Lao-Vietnamese Party and State as well as between Gia Lai and Champasak provinces that have been built and nurtured over many generations; and expressed his joy and impression at the development achievements that the province has achieved in recent times.

Along with that, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed about the organization of the apparatus, arrangement of administrative units at provincial and communal levels, and organization of two-level local governments in Vietnam in general and Gia Lai in particular.

In particular, the merger of Gia Lai into a new province will help synchronize the connecting transport infrastructure, opening up greater opportunities for Gia Lai as well as Champasak province through the export of Champasak province's goods through Vietnam's seaport system.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh believes that in the future, a fertile land rich in resources like Champasak province will create many valuable export goods.

Therefore, the leaders of the two provinces need to continue to strengthen diplomatic relations, strongly promote cooperation and investment programs in many fields, creating momentum to accelerate the socio-economic development of the two provinces to new heights. At the same time, continue to maintain a friendly, sustainable and long-term neighborly relationship.

Speaking at the reception, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Champasak Provincial People's Council expressed his joy and honor to welcome the delegation of Gia Lai province to visit and celebrate the traditional Bun Pi May New Year of Laos.

Along with that, the Deputy Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee hopes that the two provinces will continue to effectively implement the contents of the Vietnam-Laos high-level agreement and the memorandum of cooperation between the two provinces to contribute to creating momentum to promote Champasak province to develop more comprehensively in the fields of trade, human resource training support; education, tourism development and transportation.

Along with that, Champasak provincial leaders also hope to increase exchanges and learn from each other's experiences in arranging and organizing the apparatus so that Champasak province can better merge departments and branches in the coming time.

Deputy Secretary of Champasak Province Sai-thong Xay-nha-vong hopes that the solidarity and friendship between Gia Lai and Champasak provinces will continue to blossom, bear fruit, and be forever green and sustainable.

On this occasion, leaders of Gia Lai and Champasak provinces gave each other meaningful gifts, along with best wishes for the New Year.

Previously, a delegation of senior officials from Gia Lai province visited the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse city (Champasak province).

Here, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh sent his regards and encouragement to the staff and highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse, contributing to fostering the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Gia Lai and the neighboring country's localities in particular, to become increasingly sustainable.
