Durian prices on April 18, 2025 in major growing regions such as the Southwest, Southeast and Central Highlands are remaining stable, with beautiful durian reaching high levels and bucket durian still being purchased in large quantities.

Currently, the beautiful Thai durian, which is the large, plump, carefully selected fruit, costs from 170,000 to 180,000 VND/kg, the highest in the Southeast region. Meanwhile, the beautiful Ri6 durian ranges from 140,000 to 144,000 VND/kg in all three regions. The bucket type, which is durian bought from the whole garden without careful selection, is much cheaper, only from 60,000 to 80,000 VND/kg. Notably, in the Central Highlands, the Ri6 bucket durian costs slightly more, from 70,000 to 80,000 VND/kg.

According to traders, the price of durian on April 18, 2025 is stable because the amount of durian on the market is steady, and buyers still prefer both the beautiful and the large-sized durians. However, as the April 30 - May 1 holiday approaches, many people may buy durians for eating or as gifts, causing demand to increase. If this happens, the price of beautiful durians may increase slightly, especially in the Southeast, where the price of beautiful durians is the highest. On the contrary, the price of large-sized durians is unlikely to change much, as this is a popular choice for exporters or processed food producers.

Weather is also an important factor. If there is a lot of rain in the Central Highlands or the West, the harvest can slow down, reducing the number of durians on the market and pushing up prices. But for now, the weather is favorable, so the price of durian on April 18, 2025 is expected to remain stable at least until the end of April.
