Domestic pepper prices updated on the morning of May 15, 2025 |
According to experts, although pepper output this year is still limited, domestic purchasing prices have not met farmers' expectations, so they still choose the time to bring it to the market. However, pepper prices this year are still higher than last year, but replanting this crop is not strong because there is no new land or farmers are planting crops with higher economic value.
Business circles believe that from now until the end of the year, supply and demand will remain the most important factor. The global market is still in short supply, which will support pepper prices to increase again in the medium and long term.

In the short term, domestic pepper prices are forecast to remain high, ranging from VND150,000 to VND152,000 per kilogram, due to limited supply and stable export demand. Pepper growers need to pay attention to weather conditions and factors affecting output to have appropriate production plans.
Stable consumption demand and limited post-harvest supply may create opportunities for pepper prices to increase slightly in the coming time. However, experts say the domestic market is still lacking the motivation to increase prices, as exports have slowed down and domestic purchasing power has not yet broken through.
