Long An seized nearly 25 tons of suspected counterfeit milk powder

Long An province authorities discovered more than 11,800 cans of powdered milk of many brands such as Z1000 Gold+, Sanaki Grow IQ Plus (Sun), Gold 1+... without invoices or documents proving their origin.

On May 24, information from Long An Provincial Police said that the professional unit of the Provincial Police had just coordinated with Long An Market Management force to discover and seize nearly 25 tons of suspected counterfeit milk powder.

Accordingly, at around 1 p.m. on May 23, the authorities inspected a house in Tan Lan commune, Can Duoc district, Long An, and discovered many boxes of powdered milk with suspicious signs. The house is owned by a man living in Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City.

Through counting, Long An province's functional forces discovered more than 11,800 cans of powdered milk packaged in more than 960 cartons, with a total weight of about 25 tons. The powdered milk products carry many different brands such as: Z1000 Gold+, Sanaki Grow IQ Plus (Sun), Gold 1+...

At the time of inspection, the facility owner could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods.

The authorities have drawn up a record and temporarily detained all of the above goods; at the same time, they continue to verify, investigate and clarify to handle according to the provisions of law.
