Inaugurated 2 months earlier than planned, but after more than 1 month of operation, Tan Son Nhat Airport's T3 terminal has been experiencing continuous problems. This afternoon (May 24), T3 terminal continued to leak water during a heavy rain. A clip recorded by passengers shows water flowing from the glass roof down to the lobby and baggage conveyor area. Many staff had to use tools to absorb the water, avoiding affecting the waiting area.
Previously on May 7, water appeared to flow from the glass roof to the floor in the T3 passenger terminal area.

In addition to the water leakage, the floor tiles of this terminal are also not yet complete, with many gaps that "trap" passengers. A female passenger on a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on the afternoon of April 29 said she missed a step and almost fell because her shoe heel got stuck in the gap between two floor tiles.
Regarding the above issue, the leader of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that he had received feedback on a number of defects arising from the construction of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
“These defects have affected the quality of terminal services. To ensure the quality of passenger services, the Department has requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport to review all issues arising during the operation and use of the T3 passenger terminal.
At the same time, urgently deploy solutions to handle and fix the problem to ensure safety and convenience for passengers," said a representative of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
It is known that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also assigned the Southern Airports Authority to strengthen the supervision of the quality of passenger terminal operations and ground technical commercial services at Terminal T3 and promptly report any difficulties and problems that arise for timely handling.
Terminal T3 is invested by ACV, with a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND. The project started construction at the end of 2022 and was inaugurated on April 19.
