The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that based on supply and demand factors, many industry experts predict that pepper prices may increase slightly from mid-May to early June 2025.
This is because businesses are finalizing delivery contracts for the second quarter. In addition, some markets such as Europe and the Middle East are boosting imports to serve the holidays and tourist season.
World pepper prices are also likely to recover if supplies from Brazil are unfavorable due to weather. However, the expected increase is not large, only about 500 to 1,000 VND/kg and depends largely on exchange rates and logistics costs.
