Pepper prices today in some key growing areas remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 146,000 VND/kg to 147,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 146,500 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 146,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 146,500 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are currently at 146,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 146,000 VND/kg.
In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 146,000 VND/kg.

At the end of last week, domestic pepper prices dropped sharply from 4,000 to 6,500 VND/kg compared to the previous week. This is also the lowest price recorded in the past 4 months, since January 22.
Of which, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces witnessed the sharpest decrease of 6,500 VND/kg. In other localities such as Gia Lai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai, pepper prices all decreased by 5,000 VND/kg compared to last week. In Binh Phuoc, pepper prices decreased by 4,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today May 26 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on May 26 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia's Lampung black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,432/ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,134/ton.
Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,650/mt.
Malaysia's ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,150/ton. Meanwhile, the country's ASTA white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $11,850/ton.
Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of 500 gr/l black pepper in Vietnam reached 6,700 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton.
Last week, world pepper prices decreased in Brazil and Malaysia, but increased sharply in Indonesia. The International Pepper Community (IPC) is listing Indonesian black pepper prices up 1.8% (US$131/ton) compared to last week.
On the other hand, the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 last week fell sharply by 150 USD/ton. Similarly, the price of Malaysian black pepper fell by 50 USD/ton. At the same time, the price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by 0.83% (83 USD/ton) compared to last week. The price of Malaysian white pepper ASTA fell by 50 USD/ton.
While Vietnam's pepper exports have shown signs of slowing down in recent times, Indonesia has recorded impressive growth. According to the Indonesian Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2024, the country exported 55,475 tons of pepper, earning 311.3 million USD. Compared to the previous year, export volume more than doubled, while turnover increased by nearly 2.7 times.
The upward momentum continued in the first quarter of 2025 when Indonesia exported an additional 12,341 tons, up 54.2% year-on-year. This achievement helped Indonesia consolidate its third position in the list of the world's largest pepper exporting countries, behind only Brazil and Vietnam.
Notably, the Vietnamese market was the largest destination for Indonesian pepper in the first three months of the year, with an import volume of 3,094 tons, up 2.5 times and accounting for more than 25% of total exports. The US and China are also major consumer markets, reaching more than 2,100 and 2,000 tons, respectively. India also recorded strong growth, with more than 1,500 tons of pepper imported from Indonesia.
