The newly put into use Thien Truong Bridge over Dao River contributes to promoting the comprehensive socio -economic development of Nam Dinh city.

In urban management, the city has focused on implementing planning work in the area. For the work of establishing the planning area V (3 wards and communes south of Dao River), the city has submitted for appraisal and approval the planning area V - Adjusting the planning area of ​​Cua Nam ward, Nam Van commune (now Nam Van ward), Nam Phong commune (now Nam Phong ward). Approved the master plan of the projects: Construction and renovation of Loc An Primary School, Nam Dinh city; Hong Quang general trade and service center; Construction of a factory to produce plastic-coated electric cables and process colored plastic beads, plastic products; Project of the Office Building of the North Nam Dinh Branch - Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade; Construction of a new Nguyen Hue High School... This is the basis for implementing projects to serve the socio-economic development needs of the city and manage construction order in the area. The projects are being implemented to create breakthrough development in socio-economic infrastructure, strengthen connectivity between areas in the city, especially the connection between the areas on both sides of the Dao River; flexible connection between areas inside and outside the beltway. Along with that, the city is completing procedures to approve the master plan of construction projects: Sao Vang Kindergarten, primary schools: Ho Tung Mau and Loc Vuong; Han Thuyen Secondary School; Nam Dinh Provincial Dermatology Hospital...

The city has mobilized concentrated resources to invest in construction and development of transport infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, enhancing connectivity between regions, especially the connection between the two sides of the Dao River; connectivity between regions inside and outside the beltway to facilitate socio-economic development. In the first months of 2025, the city has basically completed the construction of 3 projects including: renovating and upgrading At Hoi dike road (section from National Highway 21 at Km134+963 to La slope, My Tien commune); renovating and upgrading the VocationalEducation - Continuing Education Center of My Loc district (old); Completing the construction of Thien Truong bridge across Dao River connecting Song Hao street to Vu Huu Loi street, inaugurated on the occasion of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Comrade Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of Nam Dinh City People's Committee affirmed: The putting into operation of Thien Truong Bridge has an important meaning for the city, contributing to the completion of the traffic network system, increasing the connectivity between the city and the southern districts, better meeting the needs of freight transport and travel of the people; the project is also a highlight of the landscape, a new symbol of Nam Dinh urban area, creating momentum for socio-economic development, tourism development, contributing to attracting investment and developing the city. Along with the completed and put into operation traffic works to serve the comprehensive socio-economic development, in 2024, Nam Dinh city has focused on completing a series of projects such as: construction of a new urban area south of Dao River reaching 86%; construction of the southern axis road from Vu Huu Loi Street to National Highway 21 reaching 88%; construction of Dong Phong - Dich Le concentrated residential area in Nam Van ward and Nam Phong ward reaching 25%; Renovation and upgrading of Hong Long road, My Tan commune reached 67%; Upgrading and repairing road 63B from My Ha gas station to Da culvert, An Ninh commune, Binh Luc district reached 66%; Renovation and upgrading of the road from Tran Quang Khai temple relic site to road 485B reached 37%; construction of My Loc town urban area reached 98%; Renovation and upgrading of Thang Ha road reached 98%...

In the coming time, Nam Dinh city will continue to accelerate the progress of site clearance, especially for key projects and works, and resolve the remaining problems in site clearance for ongoing projects: construction of Dong Phong - Dich Le concentrated residential area (Nam Phong ward and Nam Van ward); Van Diep concentrated residential area (Nam Phong ward), Luong Xa concentrated residential area (Loc Hoa ward); Continue to mobilize people to donate land to implement projects: Hong Long road - My Tan commune; road from Tran Quang Khai temple relic site to road 485B and road from Dang bridge, My Hung commune to Thinh Thang road... Continue to construct ongoing projects to ensure progress, complete investment procedures for construction of projects; finalize accounts for completed projects and work items. Develop a list of projects and works for investment by the City People's Council for comments and investment decisions. Complete investment procedures for construction of projects; Plan to implement projects in 2026. Continue to strengthen inspection and supervision of State management of architectural and construction planning management, and handle violations of construction order in the area. Strengthen inspection and handling of violations of urban order, carry out urban beautification (bus stops, telecommunications waste treatment, parking lots, handling of encroachment on sidewalks, signs, traffic lights, road markings)... creating strong changes in socio-economic development, building a civilized and modern Nam Dinh city, associated with smart urban areas.
