Domestic pepper prices updated on the morning of June 4, 2025 |
Statistics show that over the past month, domestic pepper prices have decreased by VND9,500 - 12,000/kg and recorded the lowest level since the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, world pepper prices have decreased in most key producing countries by USD150 - 200/ton, except for prices in Indonesia, which have recorded a positive recovery trend.
According to experts, in the short term, domestic pepper prices are forecast to decrease slightly, due to unstable export demand and supply pressure. From now until the end of the year, supply and demand factors will continue to play a key role in regulating the market.
In fact, the global pepper supply is still in short supply, which is expected to be a positive signal to help pepper prices not drop too low in the medium and long term.

Currently, many farmers in Dak Song district, Dak Nong province are implementing sustainable coffee and pepper cultivation models based on integrated pest management (IPM). In fact, applying IPM to production brings many benefits to pepper gardens such as no need to use chemical pesticides, less pests and diseases, pepper products are favored by the market and sold at higher prices.
In the world market, India's pepper production is expected to decrease, but at this time, pepper prices have not recovered. The main reason is that current production still exceeds domestic demand.
In addition, the inventory from last year, which reached 50,000 tons, also contributed to narrowing the supply-demand gap. In addition, cheap pepper imported from other countries continued to flood the Indian market, thanks to free trade agreements with neighboring countries in South Asia and the ASEAN region.
