The current USD exchange rate at Vietcombank is 25,224 VND - 25,474 VND (buying rate - selling rate).

The current Euro exchange rate is 26,846 VND - 28,318 VND (buying rate - selling rate).

The current exchange rate for the Japanese Yen is 157 VND - 167 VND (buying rate - selling rate).

The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the fluctuations of the greenback against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), recorded a level of 104.63 points. The greenback adjusted slightly amid falling US bond yields after data showed US economic growth at 1.3%, slower than the previously announced 1.6%.

The downward revision of first-quarter growth followed recent declines in retail sales and appliance spending. This contributed to a reduction in expectations of a Fed interest rate cut.

Several important economic data releases will take place this week. On Monday, markets will receive the S&P Global Manufacturing PMI and the May ISM Manufacturing PMI. On Wednesday, the Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision, with forecasts suggesting a possible 0.25 basis point cut. On Thursday, the ECB's interest rate decision will be revealed, with forecasts predicting a 25 basis point cut from the benchmark rate, along with weekly jobless claims data. On Friday, the US will release its May non -farm payrolls report.

According to experts, if both central banks implement interest rate cuts as expected, coupled with a disappointing May jobs report, the market could quickly reassess the timing and scale of the Fed's interest rate easing roadmap.
