World gold price today 05/25/2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 am today, Vietnam time, was at 3,358.12 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 1.72% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,250 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 106.2 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 14.8 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The price of gold in the world market at the end of the week suddenly increased sharply on the Kitco floor when many investors rushed to buy to hedge against risks before the three-day holiday in the US. This is a common move when the market shows signs of instability, gold is often seen as a safe "shield".

Many investors are worried about rising trade tensions after US President Donald Trump issued a warning to Apple and recommended tougher tariffs on the European Union (EU). Mr. Trump also said Apple would have to pay a 25% tax on iPhones not made in the US.

Daniel Pavilonis, an expert from RJO Futures, commented that if it surpasses the threshold of 3,500 USD/ounce, the price of gold could climb to 3,800 USD/ounce.
David Morrison, senior analyst at Trade Nation, said the weak US dollar continues to support gold. However, he advised investors to be cautious as the current momentum is neutral and gold prices can move in either direction.
“With the US dollar still under pressure, and investors shying away from US Treasuries due to concerns about excessive government debt, there is still a compelling case for holding gold as a safe haven. However, as has often been the case in the past, a good story is no guarantee. The possibility of a deeper correction in gold prices cannot be ruled out,” he said.
Some analysts noted that the US Memorial Day holiday could help ease tensions in global markets, creating short-term profit-taking pressure on gold.
