According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,277.85 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 1.32% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,390 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 104.2 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 16.3 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell nearly 2% and were on track for a weekly decline as the dollar strengthened and signs of easing U.S.-China trade tensions after a report that Beijing had exempted some U.S. goods from its tariffs weighed on the precious metal.

Spot gold fell 1.9% to $3,284.13 an ounce at 9:10 a.m. EDT (1310 GMT). Bullion has fallen 1.2% for the week. U.S. gold futures fell 1.6% to $3,294.50.

“The apparent easing of tariff tensions is weighing on gold prices… But so far we haven’t seen any significant liquidation. However, we know they’ve continued to buy on the dips in the last few sessions, so we think gold could continue its upward trajectory,” said Daniel Ghali, commodity strategist at TD Securities.

China is considering exempting some US imports from 125% tariffs and is asking businesses to identify items that could be exempted, according to businesses briefed on the matter.

Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump hinted at a de-escalation of their tit-for-tat tariff war, saying face-to-face talks were underway.

Meanwhile, the US dollar has gained and is on track for its first weekly gain since March, making bullion more expensive for overseas buyers.

Gold, traditionally seen as a safe haven against geopolitical and economic uncertainties, hit a record high of $3,500.05 an ounce and has risen more than 25% so far this year, driven by US-China trade tensions and strong demand from central banks.

“Trade war concerns have been the main reason behind all the previous gold buying. But it may still be a while before we see actual progress and so those concerns have not completely gone away,” said Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst at City Index and FOREX.com.

Spot silver fell 1.1% to $33.21 an ounce, but was on track for a third straight weekly gain. Platinum fell 0.5% to $965.75 and palladium fell 1.5% to $939.82.
