SJC gold price and ring gold price both increased simultaneously

Domestic gold prices today (November 22) continued to increase sharply, surpassing the 86 million VND mark, gold rings increased; meanwhile, world gold approached the 2,700 USD mark.

At the time of survey at 10:00 a.m. on November 22, 2024, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:

The price of gold bars sold by gold and gemstone companies is 86.2 million VND/tael. On the buying side, the price of gold of most brands is listed at 83.7 million VND/tael. The difference between the buying and selling sides is 2.5 million VND.

Particularly, Bao Tin Minh Chau and Phu Quy SJC gold brands are being bought at 300,000 and 200,000 VND higher than other brands, respectively.

For ring gold, the price of SJC 9999 gold is fixed at 83.7 million VND/tael for buying and 85.6 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 1 million VND for buying and 700,000 VND for selling.

DOJI in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets adjusted up 500,000 VND in both buying and selling prices to 84.8 million VND/tael and 85.8 million VND/tael, respectively.

The buying and selling prices of PNJ brand gold rings were adjusted up by VND600,000 and VND400,000 to VND84.5 million/tael and VND85.6 million/tael, respectively.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of plain round rings at 84.83 million VND/tael for buying and 85.78 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 500,000 VND for both buying and selling.

Phu Quy SJC is buying gold rings at 84 million VND/tael and selling at 86 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND in both directions.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,669.48 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.66% compared to yesterday. Converted to the USD exchange rate, on the free market (25,733 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 82.58 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.62 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

In the international market, the price of gold climbed to a two-week high of $2,679 per ounce. This precious metal increased sharply when the demand for safe havens returned as geopolitical tensions and the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalated.

Another reason for gold’s appeal is that US stocks fell on November 21 after Nvidia announced a lower-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue forecast. This caused investors to seek refuge in the precious metal. The US chipmaker’s business situation is considered an indicator of the global AI wave.

Since the beginning of the week, the world gold market has increased by 4% - the strongest in the past 7 months. The market is recovering after the worst week in more than 3 years. Jim Wyckoff - Market analyst at Kitco Metals commented: " The next resistance level for gold prices will be 2,700 USD/ounce ".
