Gold price increased sharply to over 120 million VND/tael

This development originated from the international market. At 2:30 p.m., the world gold price was trading at 3,257.6 USD/ounce, a sharp increase compared to 3,237 USD/ounce early in the morning of the same day.

The converted world gold price is about 17.5 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 113 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.5 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael each afternoon compared to the same morning.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price at 116 million VND/tael (buy) - 119 million VND/tael (sell) instead of 115 million VND/tael (buy) - 118 million VND/tael (sell) at the opening.

In the same trend, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company increased by 500,000 VND/tael each way, to 113 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.5 million VND/tael (sell).

Notably, the listed price of SJC gold bars is 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.5 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 1 million VND/tael each way.

Opening this morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 300,000 VND/tael each way while the price of gold rings remained unchanged.

With the above developments, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 1.3 million VND/tael compared to the end of the previous day, reaching over 120 million VND/tael after 1 day of falling below this mark. The price of gold rings increased by 500,000-1,000,000 VND/tael.
