On the morning of June 10, gasoline and oil prices increased slightly, Brent oil increased by 0.57 USD/barrel, equivalent to 0.9%, to 67.04 USD/barrel; WTI oil increased by 0.71 USD/barrel, equivalent to 1.1%, to 65.29 USD/barrel.
According to Reuters, investors are awaiting the results of trade negotiations between the US and China taking place in London (UK), with the expectation of an agreement to improve the global economy to boost energy demand. In addition, the weakening USD is also contributing to the increase in oil prices.
Analysts say all market attention is on US-China trade talks, but warn that such price increases could reverse if no new positive information is found.

In other developments, data from China recently released showed that the country's export growth slowed down in May, falling to a three-month low, as the new US tax policy has severely affected trade activities; crude oil imports also fell to a four-month low. In addition, the producer price index also continued to fall sharply, to a two-year low. All of this is putting great pressure on the world's second largest economy both domestically and internationally.
With the increase in world oil prices last week, continuing to increase in the first session of the week, petroleum traders predict that domestic petroleum prices may increase simultaneously in the price adjustment period this week (afternoon of June 12). The increase fluctuates around 200 VND/liter/kg.
In the most recent adjustment, domestic gasoline prices increased slightly, ranging from 70 - 290 VND/liter. If forecasts are correct, gasoline prices will increase again. Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 23 adjustment sessions, including 9 sessions of decrease, 9 sessions of increase and 5 sessions of opposite direction./.
