In the domestic market, today's gasoline prices remain unchanged compared to the most recent adjustment period at 3:00 p.m. on June 12, 2025, because today is not a price adjustment day. Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 24 adjustments, with 9 decreases, 10 increases and 5 opposite changes. The current price level is still low compared to the same period last year, providing positive support for domestic production and consumption.

Gasoline price today June 17, 2025 on the world market

According to the report, on the morning of June 17, 2025 (Vietnam time):

Brent oil price decreased by 3.79% to 71.49 USD/barrel, or 2.81 USD/barrel.

WTI oil price decreased by 3.80%, currently at 70.21 USD/barrel, a loss of 2.77 USD/barrel.

The main reasons for this price decrease are:

The air strikes between Israel and Iran have not caused damage to energy production and export facilities, especially at Iran's major oil fields.

Data released on Friday showed that China's oil refinery output fell 1.8% year-on-year in May, to its lowest level since August, as a series of state-owned and private refineries underwent maintenance.

However, investors are still closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, where the conflict between Israel and Iran is escalating, as this could cause a blockage risk in the Strait of Hormuz - a shipping route for 18-19 million barrels of oil per day, equivalent to 20% of global consumption.

Forecast of domestic gasoline price trends in the coming period

Domestic prices may continue to face upward pressure if the USD exchange rate increases sharply.

The international market depends on the developments of the Middle East conflict and OPEC+ policy.

Fujitomi Securities experts warn prices could explode if the Strait of Hormuz is blocked.

Consumers should follow official information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade at 3:00 p.m. every day to make reasonable purchasing decisions.
