Previously, on November 25, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 228/CD-TTg on resolving policies and paying insurance benefits for people and businesses affected by exceptionally heavy rains and floods in the Central region.

To implement this direction, the Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent a document to the People's Committees of the following provinces and cities: Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, requesting the synchronous implementation of solutions to support workers and businesses in disaster areas.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the Department of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to create favorable conditions and quick procedures to properly, fully and promptly resolve unemployment insurance benefits for unemployment insurance participants.

At the same time, synchronously implement solutions to improve the effectiveness of counseling, job referrals and vocational training support for workers so that they can quickly return to the labor market.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also emphasized the need to strengthen guidance for workers to submit applications for unemployment insurance benefits through many flexible channels. Specifically, workers and businesses can submit applications online via the National Public Service Portal, send them via postal services, or go to mobile reception points arranged locally, under safe conditions. This is considered an important solution to reduce difficulties for people and businesses, especially in the context of many areas being isolated due to floods.

To limit unnecessary travel, the Ministry of Home Affairs recommends that localities establish and maintain remote support channels: Arrange hotlines, Zalo, and emails to support workers in completing applications for unemployment insurance benefits and updating the status of applications being processed.

In addition, based on actual conditions, localities need to increase information and propaganda in appropriate forms about unemployment insurance policies, procedures and application documents for unemployment insurance benefits for employees and employers in the area.
