“Honoring the Torchbearer” Award: Honoring the silent contributions

(Dan Tri) - 150 outstanding faces from across the country - ordinary people who have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam in various fields, will be honored in December in Hanoi. Voting is open from today until November 23.

The award "Honoring the torchbearer", initiated and implemented by SABECO in collaboration with Dai Doan Ket newspaper under the accompaniment and direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The organizers expect the program to spread positive life values ​​through 150 authentic and close inspirational stories - stories that arouse patriotism, sense of civic responsibility and aspirations for development, especially in the young generation. At the same time, the award contributes to strengthening the strength of national solidarity by connecting classes, regions and professions, together towards a rich, beautiful, civilized and humane Vietnam.

Each participant, after registering with an email address, is entitled to vote once for each candidate and may vote for multiple candidates throughout the duration of the program.

Find the “fire-starters” in 6 fields

After the implementation process from the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at the central and provincial levels, the program has compiled a list of nominations from all provinces and cities.

From that list, the Central Appraisal Council screened, evaluated, and selected 150 "inspiring faces" with positive contributions in 6 fields.

Education - Vocational Training: Honoring individuals who contribute to improving community capacity through vocational training, soft skills, career orientation or creating learning conditions for disadvantaged communities.

Environmental sustainability: Honoring individuals with initiatives and actions for the environment, conserving natural resources and practicing sustainable lifestyles and production.

Balanced Lifestyle and Community Health: Honors individuals who have contributed to promoting active, balanced lifestyles and fostering a culture of holistic health and community responsibility.

Community Development: Honors individuals who work with the community through projects or initiatives that create positive change and help develop cultural life in rural areas.

Culture - arts - sports for the community: Honoring individuals who have made practical contributions to preserving national identity, traditional culture or promoting artistic creation, folk artisans; individuals with sports initiatives or projects that contribute to promoting solidarity, building spirit, improving health, and encouraging a positive lifestyle.

Science and Technology for the Community: Honoring technological and applied science initiatives that support sustainable development for local communities.

70% of the score comes from online voting results and 30% of the score comes from the assessment of the Central Appraisal Council.

15 "inspiring faces" will be selected and honored at the Gala Night held in Hanoi.

Sharing at the recent 150th anniversary of SABECO, Mr. Lester Tan - General Director of SABECO said that a legacy is not only created by quality products, but also by passion and heart. And SABECO's heart always beats strongest for the community.

Demonstrating its commitment to supporting the country’s development goals through practical actions towards the community, SABECO has coordinated to launch the “Honoring the Inspirers” Award. This is one of SABECO’s three outstanding activities, within the framework of the “150-year legacy rising” campaign, on the occasion of SABECO’s 150th anniversary in Vietnam.

With 6 award categories linked to SABECO's sustainable development pillars, Mr. Lester Tan sees this as a continuation of the legacy of previous generations, while also creating momentum for the country's new steps forward in the future.

Appreciating SABECO's initiative, Mr. Vu Van Tien, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that the unit shares the same vision with SABECO in recognizing and honoring the silent contributions of Vietnamese people. The award is meaningful in spreading simple, noble examples in the community. These are positive stories, arousing good human values, inspiring the younger generation to build a more progressive and better society.
