Experts expect the market to be affected by the FED's decision to adjust interest rates down by 0.25 or 0.5 percentage points at the upcoming policy meeting. The weakening of the USD due to the information about the interest rate cut has created conditions for the commodity market to recover, especially the pepper market.
There were no reports of price cuts from any country in the International Pepper Community last week, indicating price stability. Increased buying demand and concerns over limited supplies are two major factors expected to continue pushing pepper prices up this week.
With the upward price trend since the beginning of the month, it is expected that the domestic pepper market price may reach 160,000 VND/kg this week.
