Reduced fees for online driver's license applications from December 1, 2023.

On October 16, 2023, the Minister of Finance issued Circular 63/2023/TT-BTC amending and supplementing a number of articles of a number of Circulars regulating fees and charges of the Minister of Finance to encourage the use of online public services.

Reduced fees for online driver's license applications from December 1, 2023

Accordingly, Article 8 of Circular 63/2023/TT-BTC amended and supplemented Article 3 of Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC stipulating the fee for driving test; fee for granting licenses and certificates to operate on various types of vehicles and fee for registration and issuance of license plates for specialized motorbikes as follows:

- The fee for driving test; the fee for issuing licenses and certificates to operate on all types of vehicles and the fee for registering and issuing license plates for specialized motorbikes are specified in the Fee and Charge Schedule issued with Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC.

Accordingly, the Fee and Charge Schedule issued with Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC is as follows:

- In case organizations and individuals submit applications for new issuance, re-issuance, or exchange of driving licenses (national and international) online:

+ From December 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025, the fee will be 115,000 VND/issuance .

+ From January 1, 2026 onwards, the fee collection rates specified in the Fee and Charge Rate Schedule issued with Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC will apply.

Currently, the fee for issuing, reissuing, and exchanging driving licenses (national and international) according to the Fee and Charge Schedule issued with Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC is 135,000/issuance.

According to the above regulations , from December 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025, the fee for organizations and individuals submitting applications for new issuance, re-issuance, and exchange of driving licenses (national and international) online is 115,000 VND/issuance (a reduction of 20,000 VND/time compared to the current fee).

And from January 1, 2026 onwards, the fee collection rates specified in the Fee and Charge Schedule issued with Circular 37/2023/TT-BTC will apply.
