According to the hospital, the patient had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic kidney failure, and prolonged swelling in both legs. Before being admitted to the hospital, the patient had increasing difficulty breathing and fatigue, which later turned into severe difficulty breathing, rapid pulse, and increased blood pressure.
At the hospital, test results and echocardiogram showed that the patient had severe acute heart failure with metabolic acidosis, causing systemic disorders and risk of multiple organ failure.
Upon admission, doctors promptly performed intensive resuscitation: intubation, mechanical ventilation to support breathing; use diuretics, vasodilators, and inotropic support; adjust acid-base balance and closely monitor heart, kidney, and lung function; and perform continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) to control metabolic acidosis and support kidney function.
After many days of intensive treatment, the patient's condition gradually improved, his breathing stabilized, his heart and kidney functions recovered, and he passed the critical stage. Currently, the patient is conscious, his vital signs are stable, and he has been discharged from the hospital.
