On the morning of October 3, the Women's Union of Vinh Tuong district organized a delegation to supervise the implementation of food safety and hygiene (FSH) and the nutritional regime for boarding students at Vinh Thinh Kindergarten.
Working delegation of Vinh Tuong District Women's Union supervises food processing at the kitchen of Vinh Thinh Kindergarten (facility 2)
At the working session, the Supervisory Delegation of the District Women's Union supervised the implementation of food safety and hygiene, the nutritional regime to ensure mental and physical safety for children, including conditions of facilities, processing tools, qualifications of catering staff; food origin, food supply contracts with units; the process of transporting input materials, preliminary processing, processing, and preserving food; water source used in food processing; 3-step food inspection process and keeping food samples according to regulations of the Ministry of Health in the school kitchen...
Through inspection, it was found that Vinh Thinh Kindergarten has focused on and strictly implemented the legal regulations on food safety and hygiene; built a kitchen according to the "One-way kitchen" regulations, paid attention to selecting food sources to serve meals for children to ensure safety; provided regular health check-ups for catering staff, proactively upgraded and repaired facilities in the collective kitchen, and prevented food poisoning from occurring in the school.
However, the school still has some limitations such as at school point 1, the boarding kitchen is a temporary facility (because the school is under renovation and construction), so the facilities are not yet synchronized; there is no centralized clean water source; the food cost for children is still low compared to the general level of the province.
Previously, on September 27, the Supervisory Delegation organized a supervision of food safety and hygiene work at Yen Lap Kindergarten.
Through monitoring activities, it helps raise awareness and responsibility, helping schools promptly detect, supplement and correct shortcomings and limitations in ensuring food safety and hygiene, contributing to protecting the health of preschool children.
