Currently, Cam Lo district is managing 32 relics, including 2 national relics (Headquarters of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam and Tan So Citadel), and 30 provincial relics.

The district has completed 17/30 legal documents; 19/30 scientific documents for provincial-level relics assigned to the People's Committees of districts, communes and towns for management; proposed to remove from the list of relics 3 relics, including: Cam Vu communal house, An Hung martyrs' tomb and Kim Dau Cham tower for reasons of incorrect historical data, no longer promoting the values of the relics...

Cam Lo District proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and adjust the task of building legal documents for the Bat Cave relic and the Tan Lam Cave system because these relics are under provincial management and located in the administrative boundaries of Dakrong and Cam Lo districts.

The protection zone and boundary markers of 17/30 relics have been demarcated; land has been arranged and legal documents of the remaining 9 relics are being completed. It is expected that by April 30, 2024, all 26/26 legal documents of historical relics in the area will be completed according to decentralization.

The restoration and embellishment work has only been carried out at some relics in the investment portfolio for the period 2022-2025 of Resolution No. 167/NQ-HDND, while other relics have not been carried out, so they do not meet the needs of protecting and developing the value of the relics; some relics still have problems with land and names; the district's budget is still limited, so it is difficult to arrange investment, embellishment, restoration and protection of relics in the area...

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council Ho Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated the efforts of Cam Lo district in implementing Resolution No. 167/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council. Cam Lo district is a locality with a large number of national-level relics, so it is necessary to focus on preserving and promoting the value of relics.

It is recommended that the district strengthen the direction, management and administration of the government from the district to the grassroots level; raise awareness at all levels and sectors about the value of the relic system in the area; continue to strengthen state management to ensure that relics are not damaged; when investing in restoration and reconstruction, there must be careful and scientific calculations; promptly complete legal documents and scientific documents for unfinished relics; have a plan to exchange land or mobilize people to voluntarily donate land to have land funds for the construction of the relic campus and stele.

Regarding the removal of relics from the list of provincial relics proposed by the district, the district needs to clearly state the reasons and have a specific report on this issue.

The district needs to strengthen coordination with relevant sectors and units to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing Resolution No. 167/NQ-HDND. At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize people from all walks of life to strongly respond to the effective implementation of conservation, restoration and promotion of the system of historical and cultural relics in the locality.
