Quang Ninh's leading education reaches international level

In recent years, Quang Ninh education has achieved many comprehensive results in all aspects, especially in the field of key education, reaching out to regional and international playgrounds. These results not only reflect the increasingly improved training quality, but also demonstrate the province's correct strategic vision in developing people in the direction of training high-quality human resources.

With the strong and unanimous direction of the entire industry, the strong participation of the entire political system and the determination to innovate of each school, Quang Ninh education has made spectacular breakthroughs. In particular, key education has been systematically invested in and achieved many impressive successes.

The clearest proof is the 8th position out of 63 provinces and cities in the national high school excellent student selection exam in 2024 and 2025 - the highest ranking ever of the province.

The 2024-2025 National Excellent Student Competition continued to make its mark with 110 students participating, winning 88 prizes, including 2 first prizes, 27 second prizes, 30 third prizes and 29 consolation prizes. The Biology, Geography and Chinese teams achieved 100% of students winning prizes, while the Physics, History and English teams had a winning rate of up to 90%. These telling numbers are proof of the remarkable growth of Quang Ninh's keyeducation .

Recently, 2 students of Ha Long High School for the Gifted have won prizes at the regional and international Olympic competitions in the 2024-2025 school year. These are special achievements that are meaningful not only to the students and the school, but also the common pride of Quang Ninh province, and are clear evidence of the right educational investment strategy of Quang Ninh province over the past many years.

Returning from the international arena, Trinh Viet Hoang, a 12th grade Chemistry major at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, one of four outstanding representatives of Vietnam participating in the Abu Rayhan-Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad 2025 and winning the Silver Medal, was welcomed by representatives of the Department of Education and Training, the school and his family at Noi Bai International Airport.

In addition, Ninh Quang Thang, who won the Bronze Medal at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, the joy of high achievement spread strongly throughout Ha Long High School for the Gifted. At the ceremony, teachers and friends shared the moment of honor of two excellent students, typical representatives of the aspirations of the young generation of Quang Ninh.

At the end of July, Ninh Quang Thang, a 12th grade IT major at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, will be one of six Vietnamese representatives to continue participating in the International Olympiad in Informatics in Bolivia. Accompanying him are teachers, schools, and all levels of the province, especially the Education sector, all with the same determination to achieve the highest results.

To achieve the above impressive results, Quang Ninh province has continuously invested in developing facilities, training and fostering the teaching staff. 98% of teachers at all levels in the province have reached the standard and above standard qualifications, much higher than the national average. The whole province has 121 teachers awarded the title of People's Teacher, Excellent Teacher. Thousands of teachers have achieved the title of emulation fighter at all levels, excellent teachers at the provincial level and many other noble titles and awards.

Not only focusing on nurturing excellent students, Quang Ninh also promotes digital transformation in education, creating smart classrooms, electronic transcripts, digital learning material warehouses, helping students and teachers quickly access modern knowledge. This is also an important foundation for students to access global knowledge and improve their integration skills. In the near future, Quang Ninh continues to identify education as the "top national policy", aiming to nurture talents and develop high-quality human resources to serve the province's rapid and sustainable development process.
