On April 14, Son La Provincial Museum organized an experientialeducational activity with the theme “General Vo Nguyen Giap – The Legendary General”. The program had the participation of more than 200 students from high schools in the city and 60 soldiers of Regiment 754 (Provincial Military Command) along with a large number of people and tourists.

At the program, students from the provincial boarding school for ethnic minorities, To Hieu High School, Nguyen Du High School (City) participated in the "Learning History" contest. Each school formed a team of 5 students to participate in the contest. The teams went through 3 contests to learn about the topic. Part 1: "Famous in five continents, shaking the world". Part 2: From Lung Lo to Pha Din - the historical route. Part 3: The General in the hearts of the people. Each contest consists of multiple choice and question-and-answer questions, demonstrating understanding of historical knowledge related to learning about the life and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap and historical knowledge about the Dien Bien Phu victory.

Students and soldiers of Regiment 754 also participated in answering questions in the "Have fun with the audience" section; learning about the special national relic Son La Prison and the historical - cultural exhibition space at the Provincial Museum; performing arts, dancing...

On this occasion, the Provincial Museum opened the photo exhibition “Dien Bien Memories”, introducing 98 images, 27 stories, and excerpts related to the Dien Bien Phu campaign divided into 2 parts. Part 1: Son La - the direct rear of the campaign; images and stories about the early stages of Son La's liberation, the process of human and material reinforcements for the Dien Bien Phu campaign. Part 2: Dien Bien Phu - a historical epic, tells about the process of resistance and victory, and the significance of this heroic battle.
