“A Thousand and One Pages” is the magical imaginary world of a little girl named Lac Man during her summer vacation at a bookstore with a fairy tale name “A Thousand and One Pages”. During the day, it is a bookstore, but at night, the owner turns into a white crane, the maid is a king of the jungle, and the readers who come to read books are sea turtles, field mice, giraffes... and the drinks you serve to customers are taken from meteor fragments or floating clouds when you fly into the pages of the book to collect them?

With unique imagination and vivid, rich writing style, the author leads young readers into the bookstore “A Thousand and One Pages”. The magical imaginary world in the book is also the door that opens to magical worlds in the book world with countless wonders. In that world, there are foods made from joyful, happy emotions, but there are also electronic bugs formed from boredom, emptiness and negative emotions of people in the real world, which are also the enemies of the book world and want to destroy all books in the world.

The appearance of the bug has caused the little girl Lac Man and the magical characters in the bookstore to enter a battle to protect books, returning the magic to the children who love them. read a book.

This is a work that moves between reality and the page. The author has erased the limits of space and time between books and the real world as well as the boundary between humans and rare animals. The book becomes a fairyland where the reader's imagination can freely fly.

With a subtle way of thinking, through a magical story, the work talks about a truth that everyone knows but often ignores: without books, without reading books, the world would turn into nothingness.

The author has cleverly brought a strong sense of realism to this fantasy work, exploring how modern entertainment methods such as the Internet and video games have shaken up traditional reading, while showing young readers the magical appeal of books and reading, thereby inspiring in them a passion and love for the pages of books.

Author Mai Du, from Ningbo, is a member of the Zhejiang Provincial Writers Association. Many of her works have been published in magazines such as Children's Literature, Youth Literature, etc. She has won the First Prize in the Children's Literature category of the 45th Hong Kong Young Literature Awards (China), the Silver Prize of the 5th and 7th White Whale Children's Fiction Literature Awards, the Qin Wenjun New Writing Award for Children, the "Oriental Youth" Key Support Project Award, and several other awards.

The work "One Thousand and One Pages" won the Silver Prize of the 4th Bronze Sunflower Children's Novel Award.

The book was translated by Nguyen Thuy Hanh. She is a literary researcher and translator, currently working at Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences . She has translated the work "Love Stories of the New Century" by Tan Tuyet and many works of modern Chinese poets into Vietnamese.
