Preserving traditional crafts in small villages.

Born and raised in the Tay ethnic culture, Ms. Nguyen Thi San, from Na Khuong village, is one of the few people in Nghia Do commune, Bao Yen district, who still understand and preserve the traditional cultural identity of her ethnic group. She has been striving to pass on this knowledge to the younger generation, both to preserve traditional culture and to serve the development of community tourism.

The stilt house and the weaving loom have been part of Mrs. San's life since childhood. Taught by her grandmother and mother, by the age of 16, Mrs. San knew how to weave and embroider brocade to make traditional clothing and household items. Mrs. San is currently one of the few people who preserve the traditional weaving craft of the Tay people in Nghia Do.

Ms. San also uses woven and brocade products to decorate her family's homestay. At homestay number 5, she used woven items to create a fence and gate, resulting in a natural, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically pleasing space. Furthermore, her family maintains the traditional lifestyle of the Tay people. Therefore, homestay number 5 is becoming a popular destination for many tourists.
