On the afternoon of November 23, a Viettel representative said that to cope with the complicated weather developments, Viettel has activated a large-scale information security plan in the Central Highlands region.

Accordingly, the network operator has arranged nearly 6,000 mobile generators in Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces to ensure energy for broadcasting stations even during widespread power outages.

In addition, more than 1,900 backup batteries have been transferred to increase the network's operating time. The entire region has also been reinforced with 17 satellite phones, 48 handheld radios and 9 mobile broadcasting vehicles to ensure smooth communication in all emergency situations.

In Khanh Hoa province alone, Viettel has deployed 4 more transport drones to transport supplies and necessities when roads are cut off; and at the same time, used a flycam system to support search and rescue operations. Along with that, Viettel has expanded its roaming capabilities between network operators, helping people ensure communication even when part of the network is down due to the impact of extreme weather.

From the flood epicenter, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Ngoc Thuong, Director of Viettel Khanh Hoa shared that in recent days, the area has been experiencing continuous heavy rains, causing water levels to rise and many areas to be completely cut off. In such an urgent situation, the task of ensuring communication for the people and the disaster response command system is at the highest level.
