The source of the people's hearts
Along the winding roads leading to the center of Kim Binh commune – where 75 years ago the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam took place (1951) – the space is ablaze with the vibrant red of Party flags and national flags. Slogans such as: “Warmly welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam ,” “The Communist Party of Vietnam – the leader and organizer of all victories of the Vietnamese revolution”… appear prominently throughout the streets. For the people here, these are not just slogans but have become the “breath,” the heartbeat in every thought and action of each cadre, Party member, and citizen.
In her cozy stilt house in Bo Cung village, Kim Binh commune, Mrs. Tran Thi An (a Tay ethnic woman, 98 years old) – a "living witness" who has experienced nearly a century of ups and downs – was deeply moved when speaking about the country's new opportunities. Mrs. An said that she grew up in the cradle of the revolution, witnessing the miraculous changes in her homeland from those difficult days, so her faith in the Party has become ingrained in her very being.

Mr. An shared with a glimmer of hope in his eyes: 75 years ago, right here in Kim Binh, his generation witnessed the Party leading the resistance to victory. Now, looking forward to the 14th National Congress, Mr. An hopes that the leaders will continue to make new decisions to help the country prosper, so that rural areas become wealthy and modern.
That unwavering faith still burns brightly in the mind of Mr. Hoang Van Bao, from Khuon Nhu village – a man who, along with other young people, was entrusted with the important task of digging tunnels, building protective fences, and participating in guard duty during the Second Party Congress. At his advanced age, Mr. Bao still vividly remembers the image of Viet Minh cadres arriving in Kim Binh and the villagers' protection of the Party cadres back then – a priceless lesson about the people's bond with the Party.
Mr. Bao confided that for decades, he has always reminded his children and grandchildren: A nation can only prosper if the people are at peace, and to achieve peace, one must have absolute faith in the leadership of the Party. The shared mindset of elderly people like Mr. An and Mr. Bao is the clearest evidence of the enduring vitality of faith in the Communist Party of Vietnam across generations.
The vitality of this revolutionary land today is also continued by the aspirations of its youth. The movement for economic development and the construction of new rural areas is evident in every village and hamlet in Kim Binh. Cao Van Phuc, a Party member in the youth union from Pac Keo village, is the director of a high-tech agricultural cooperative with annual revenue of billions of dong.
For example, Party member La Quy Canh owns a cooperative raising chickens with 30 members and has built the Kim Binh hill chicken brand, which is sold throughout provinces and cities nationwide. The Party Secretary of Kim Binh commune, Le Thien Quang, enthusiastically boasts: "With excellent production and business skills, the young men and women of the Tay, Dao, and Nung ethnic groups... are now proficient in technology and digital transformation, bringing local agricultural products to e-commerce platforms. These are the most beautiful 'flowers offered to the Party'."
In the border region
The atmosphere surrounding the country's momentous political event has spread throughout the border communes – the nation's frontier. Information about the National Party Congress is not only present in meetings but also in the daily lives of the people. For the people in the highlands, the Congress is a crucial milestone, closely linked to their lives and their hopes for policy decisions that will change the socio-economic situation and livelihoods in the future.
Mr. Luc Xuan Nhuong, a respected figure in Ban Chang village, Yen Minh commune, happily recounted: "Thanks to the attention of the Party and the State, the lives of the people are improving day by day, and we have even more faith and consensus under the leadership of the Party with confidence."
A strong Party benefits the people.
The people's trust in the Party is clearly strengthened in many border villages of the province. In Lung Lan village, Son Vi commune, home to 123 households with over 540 inhabitants, seven ethnic groups live together. On a peaceful afternoon in the border region, the sounds of children playing blend with the familiar rhythm of village life. Party Branch Secretary Hoang Thi Tuong proudly shared her hopes: "The people's trust is not only expressed in words but has become action, a spirit of competition. Every household and every individual is striving to build a cultured family, develop the economy, and achieve legitimate wealth. The village currently has only 4 poor households and 6 near-poor households. Life is more stable, the people are more secure in their work, are attached to their village, and look forward to the Party's upcoming policies."

The consensus with the Party is also clearly demonstrated through the concrete actions of the officials and people of Lung Cu commune. According to the Secretary of the Lung Cu Commune Party Committee, Duong Ngoc Duc, in chào mừng the Party Congress at all levels, the locality has launched a vibrant emulation movement in various fields. The commune has completed 110 houses in areas at risk of landslides and eliminated temporary housing for the people. Specifically, through social mobilization efforts, 15 houses have been built with a total cost of 900 million VND.
In addition, with the launch of 3 new tourism products, the locality is expected to welcome approximately 4,300 visitors in 2025, generating estimated revenue of 200 billion VND, contributing to improving the livelihoods of the people. In the field of national defense and security, the commune's police force was awarded the title of "Unit of Outstanding Achievement" by the Ministry of Public Security; and 34 security cameras were installed through social mobilization. The Secretary of the Party Committee of Lung Cu commune affirmed: "Each project and task to celebrate the Congress demonstrates the unity of the entire political system, unwavering faith in the Party's correct policies, and the stable and sustainable development of this border region of the Fatherland."
Expectations for innovation
The 14th National Congress is a momentous political event, carrying with it expectations for a breakthrough in the nation's development. Looking forward to the Congress, cadres, Party members, and people from all walks of life in Tuyen Quang province, as well as millions of Vietnamese people, are turning their attention to Hanoi with the hope that the Congress will make sound decisions, creating strong momentum for the country's renewal, integration, and sustainable development in the new era.
Hoang Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bach Dich commune, expressed: “The Party Committee and people of the commune place high expectations on the 14th Party Congress to continue to define many policies and directions for the next stage of development. At the same time, it will continue to affirm the strategic vision, the spirit of innovation, and the decisive action for the benefit of the people and the sustainable development of the Fatherland. Party members and the people hope that the Congress will make decisions that closely reflect the realities of life, especially policies for ethnic minority areas, border regions, and improving the quality of education and healthcare for the people.”
Ms. Pham Thi Ha from Binh Thuan ward said: “The implementation of a two-tiered local government system shows a strategic and decisive step in reforming the administrative apparatus. Especially in Tuyen Quang province, with its expanding potential, people expect the leadership team in the next term to focus on key areas, develop existing potential and advantages, and bring Tuyen Quang to a level of development worthy of its revolutionary traditions and rich potential.”
From the cradle of the revolution to the remote villages in Tuyen Quang province, all are looking forward to the 14th National Party Congress with unwavering faith in the Party's leadership, joining the whole country in embarking on a new path of development with great aspirations and expectations. This faith is nurtured by practical experience and the consensus of the people, and will continue to be the strength for the Party to lead the country towards rapid and sustainable development, for the happiness of the people.
