All the martyrs who were commemorated and buried were found and collected by the Martyrs' Remains Search and Recovery Team of the Ha Giang Provincial Military Command at high points in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district. These are the remains of martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives in the battle to protect the northern border; all of them remain unidentified.

In the battle to defend the northern border, at the Vi Xuyen front, thousands of soldiers and people of various ethnic groups in Ha Giang province fought intelligently, bravely, and resolutely with the will to "not give up an inch, not surrender a millimeter," determined to hold firm to every hilltop, every cliff, every high point with the courageous spirit of "living clinging to the rocks to fight the enemy, dying becoming immortal rocks."

Although the war is long over, the people of Ha Giang province never forget the losses and pain left behind by the conflict. Therefore, the province pays special attention to and effectively carries out the work of showing gratitude, clearing mines, and searching for and collecting the remains of fallen soldiers.
