Currently, the province is experiencing heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from nearly 100mm to over 200mm (from 7am on September 27 to 7am on September 28). Of which, Ly Nhan district has the highest rainfall of 216mm, Kim Bang district 208.6mm, Duy Tien town 196.6mm, Phu Ly city 112.9mm, Binh Luc district 112mm and Thanh Liem district 90mm.

Heavy rains have caused flooding in most of the agricultural land, industrial zones, and urban areas. To serve the drainage, the Irrigation Works Exploitation Companies serving the province have operated 100% of the pumps. The Bac Nam Ha Irrigation Works Exploitation Company alone operates all 6 large pumping stations, with a total of 35 drainage pumps.

Currently, functional units are mobilizing maximum resources and equipment to drain the flood. According to forecasts, on September 28, there will continue to be heavy rain, with average rainfall ranging from 50 to 100 mm.
