NDO - Within the framework of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, a special spiritual event will take place - the journey to welcome the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - a sacred national treasure from India, from Quan Su Pagoda, Hanoi City to Tam Chuc Pagoda, Kim Bang Town, Ha Nam Province - the place that hosted Vesak 2019. The event to welcome the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni enshrined in the solemn space of Tam Chuc Pagoda will last from May 17 to 12 noon on May 20.

Tam Chuc Pagoda continues to be the spiritual highlight of Vesak 2025. This place has left a deep impression on international friends about the image of the country, people, culture and religious life in Vietnam when it first held the Vesak Festival at Tam Chuc Pagoda in 2019, with the participation of thousands of delegates from more than 100 countries. This place has become a symbol of an integrated, compassionate Vietnam with profound Buddhist culture.

The enshrinement of the Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc this time not only affirms the spiritual position of the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia, but also extends the message of peace , cooperation and sustainable development - the core values ​​that Vesak aims for. This is not only the journey of a Buddhist national treasure, but also the process of guiding the community's consciousness towards awareness, compassion and wisdom - the core values ​​of Buddhism.

The event is expected to attract a large number of Buddhists and people to come and worship. To ensure the event takes place solemnly and absolutely safely, Ha Nam province has directed relevant departments, branches and sectors to report on preparations, plans and forces to coordinate with Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise - the event organizer - to ensure the readiness of conditions for the event to take place successfully.

Accordingly, the provincial police will take the lead in developing a plan to welcome the procession of Buddha's relics from Hanoi to Ha Nam, and develop plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting.

The Department of Home Affairs coordinates with relevant units to develop a script for the relic enshrinement ceremony and related Buddhist activities.

The Department of Science and Technology works with network operators to install additional equipment to ensure smooth network operation, meeting information and communication needs.

The Department of Health coordinated with Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise to spray disinfectants, control food hygiene and safety, and provide emergency response plans. The Provincial Electricity Company coordinated with the enterprise to ensure a stable power source for the event.

Units: Ha Nam Newspaper, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism strengthen propaganda and promotion of the event.

Tam Chuc Pagoda - the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia - always attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, Director of Xuan Truong Enterprise, said: Preparations for the event were carried out early with a detailed master plan. Thousands of personnel from logistics, security, medical, tour guides to volunteers were mobilized and thoroughly trained to ensure the welcoming ceremony took place safely, thoughtfully and solemnly.

Infrastructure items serving pilgrims such as bus stations, waiting rooms, rest stops, and public toilets have all been upgraded, equipped, and strictly inspected for hygiene and safety.

During the festival, Tam Chuc Pagoda is expected to welcome 30,000-50,000 visitors per day. To ensure security, order and control the flow of visitors and traffic from a distance, Ha Nam province has arranged for functional forces to set up checkpoints at key locations.

From May 17-20, on the occasion of honoring the Buddha's relics - a sacred national treasure from India, Tam Chuc Tourist Area will provide free transportation within the area to create the most convenient, solemn and complete conditions for Buddhists and tourists from all over to worship the Buddha's relics.

Free transportation system for tourists during the days of worshiping Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc: Electric cars operate continuously to ensure fast traffic from the Vesak conference center to Tam Quan Noi.

Large-scale cruise ships take visitors across Tam Chuc Lake to Tam Quan Noi. A team of dedicated volunteers is on duty at all points, ready to guide and support each visitor.
