Drills and grid inspections will be held regularly to improve response readiness; minimize economic losses and impacts on people's lives caused by power outages.

This is the information reported by Mr. Ma Hoai Nam, Member of the Council, Hanoi Electricity Corporation at the thematic information conference and briefing on the implementation of key tasks of the city's press work in June 2025 organized by the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee on the afternoon of June 3.

In the context of severe hot weather and high demand for electricity, Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) has implemented synchronous solutions to ensure stable electricity supply.

In addition to investing in building and upgrading the power grid, EVNHANOI promotes the application of information technology and automation in the management and operation of the power grid. SCADA/DMS systems, remote monitoring and control devices are widely deployed, helping to improve operational capabilities and minimize incidents.

Mr. Ma Hoai Nam also said that EVNHANOI has also developed plans to respond to emergency situations such as overload, incidents, and fires. Drills and grid inspections will also be held regularly to improve response readiness.

In addition to technical solutions, EVNHANOI also pays special attention to electricity saving. The Corporation aims to save at least 2.2% of total electricity consumption in 2025. "To achieve this goal, EVNHANOI calls for the community's cooperation in using electricity reasonably and economically," said Mr. Ma Hoai Nam.

With proactiveness and synchronous solutions, EVNHANOI commits to successfully completing the task of ensuring electricity supply for the capital.

At the conference, answering questions from the press about solutions to ensure power supply for production and business, especially in areas with sudden increases in demand and areas with many difficulties, Mr. Ma Hoai Nam said that on June 2, the total amount of electricity consumed was 8% higher than the maximum consumption capacity of 2024. However, the entire city of Hanoi still ensures stable power supply and no transformer stations are overloaded.

"EVNHANOI affirms that it will ensure power supply to serve economic, social and diplomatic events as well as production, business and consumption needs of people throughout the city," Mr. Ma Hoai Nam informed.

According to the representative of EVN Hanoi, the unit has reviewed vulnerable points and areas with the potential for sudden increases in electricity consumption, and has investment solutions to best meet the needs of people and businesses.
