This is a key activity in a series of events of Hanoi city to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The plaque-mounting ceremony and exhibition display are scheduled to take place on the morning of August 18, 2025 at the relic site at 48 Hang Ngang, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. The event is organized in the name of the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, chaired by the City People's Committee, and directly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports .
The exhibition's content is elaborately and scientifically designed with three main themes: (1) The house at 48 Hang Ngang and the family of the patriotic nationalist capitalist Trinh Van Bo - Hoang Thi Minh Ho; (2) Historical context and the birth of the Declaration of Independence; (3) Historical significance of the Declaration of Independence and the journey to protect national independence.
In particular, the exhibition displays apply modern technology such as 3D light projection and visual simulation to enhance the visitor experience, while protecting original artifacts - in line with the requirements of digital transformation and the current trend of innovation in heritage introduction and education methods...

House No. 48 Hang Ngang of Mr. and Mrs. Trinh Van Bo is located in the middle of the Old Quarter, the bustling commercial center of old Hanoi, now in Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. This house has two entrances: 48 Hang Ngang Street and 35 Hang Can Street.
Due to its favorable location and being a revolutionary base since the pre-uprising period, this house was chosen by the Party Central Committee as the place where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during his first days returning to Hanoi from the Viet Bac resistance base in August 1945.
President Ho Chi Minh worked at this house from August 25 to early September 1945. Here, he and the Party Central Committee decided on many important policies on domestic and foreign affairs in the new situation; on the institution and composition of the new Government, on the organization of Independence Day...
In a room on the second floor of this house, President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence , giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. House 48 Hang Ngang Street was recognized as a Cultural Historical Relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) according to Decision No. 54VH/QD dated April 29, 1979.
The house at 48 Hang Ngang is not only a special historical relic, but also a sacred symbol of patriotism and national pride.
