Hanoi: Traffic flow to ensure order for Buddha's Birthday

To ensure security, safety and smooth traffic, serving the Buddha's Birthday, Hanoi City Police announced traffic diversion and organized directions for all types of vehicles, including: cargo trucks with cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger cars with 25 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving the Festival) as follows:

Hanoi Traffic Police force is responsible for leading the delegation and ensuring traffic in the capital.

From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 13, the above types of vehicles are restricted from operating on the following routes: Vo Van Kiet (section in front of Noi Bai Airport), Vo Nguyen Giap, Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Chi Cong, Ring Road II (section from Vo Chi Cong - Ring Road II to Dao Tan - Ring Road II), Dao Tan, Kim Ma, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan (section from Le Duan - Nguyen Thai Hoc to Le Duan - Tran Nhan Tong), Tran Nhan Tong (section from Tran Nhan Tong - Le Duan to Tran Nhan Tong - Quang Trung), Tran Binh Trong, Da Tuong.

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the same day, the above types of vehicles are restricted from operating on the following routes: Ly Thuong Kiet (section from Ly Thuong Kiet - Phan Boi Chau to Ly Thuong Kiet - Hang Bai), Hang Bai, Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Ba Trieu (section from Hang Khay - Ba Trieu to Ly Thuong Kiet - Ba Trieu).

From 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from May 14 to May 16, the following types of vehicles are restricted from operating on the following routes: Quan Su (section from Quan Su - Ly Thuong Kiet to Quan Su - Hai Ba Trung), Tran Hung Dao (section from Tran Hung Dao - Quang Trung to Le Duan - Tran Hung Dao), Yet Kieu, Tran Binh Trong, Nguyen Du, Tran Quoc Toan (section from Tran Quoc Toan - Yet Kieu to Tran Quoc Toan - Quang Trung), Ly Thuong Kiet (section from Ly Thuong Kiet - Phan Boi Chau to Ly Thuong Kiet - Hoa Lo - Da Tuong).

Temporarily banning vehicles (except vehicles with security badges and vehicles serving the Great Ceremony) on Quan Su route (section from Quan Su - Tran Hung Dao to Quan Su - Ly Thuong Kiet).

From 5:00 to 7:30 a.m. on May 17, the above types of vehicles are restricted from operating on the following routes: Ly Thuong Kiet (section from Ly Thuong Kiet - Hoa Lo to Ly Thuong Kiet - Le Duan), Le Duan, Giai Phong, Do Muoi (section from Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi to Do Muoi - entrance to Hanoi - Ninh Binh highway).

From 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 21, the above types of vehicles are restricted from operating on the following routes: Do Muoi (from Do Muoi - the entrance to Hanoi, Ninh Binh expressway to Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi), Giai Phong, Vong Intersection, Truong Chinh, Ring Road II (from Truong Chinh to So Intersection), Lang, Ring Road II, Vo Chi Cong, Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Nguyen Giap.

To ensure security and order and traffic safety for the Great Festival, all vehicle owners and drivers participating in traffic must voluntarily comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and the guidance, regulation and traffic flow of the authorities.

During the Buddhist activities, people come to worship the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni, the National Treasure of India, at Quan Su Pagoda. Local people attending the ceremony are requested to park their cars and motorbikes at Thong Nhat Park, Tran Nhan Tong, Quang Trung, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Nguyen Du streets (Hai Ba Trung district) and parking lots outside the restricted area, temporarily banning vehicles. Proactively choose means of transportation to the gathering, public transport.

Hanoi City Police informs relevant organizations and individuals to know, implement and help the Police force complete its tasks.
