This year, the Festival has a special meaning as it takes place in the atmosphere of celebrating important historical milestones of the country: 80 years of August Revolution - National Day September 2, 71 years of Capital Liberation Day and the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress. This is also an opportunity for Hanoi's tourism industry to introduce new and creative products, continuing to affirm its position as the leading cultural - tourist destination in the country.
With a scale of about 150 booths, the event brings together localities, airlines, travel agencies, hotels, artisans, tourist destinations and many cultural units. The exhibition space is designed with many themes, bringing a colorful picture of Hanoi's autumn and typical tourism products.
The highlight of the opening ceremony is the art program “Hanoi’s Autumn Melody”, taking place at 7:30 p.m. on November 21. With a combination of light, music and stage effects, the program recounts the journey of Hanoi’s autumn through familiar sounds, ancient beauty and the creative pace of a youthful capital.
Throughout the three days, visitors will have the opportunity to explore many attractive spaces: “Autumn Colors” with artistic miniatures, “Hanoi Destination” introducing craft villages and heritage, “Old Quarter Travel Zone” with tourism stimulus packages, “Memory Taste” culinary space, or “Hanoi - Youthful Rhythm” area for street art and creative experiences. In addition, the photo exhibition “Hanoi - Autumn seen through the lens” will bring emotional perspectives of a gentle and sophisticated Hanoi.
On the morning of November 23, the art performance program at Tran Nhan Tong walking street promises to create a vibrant festival atmosphere. The participation of folk art troupes such as Thanh Oai Lion and Dragon Dance, Te Tieu puppetry, Dan Phuong rowing, along with youthful performances by students and children will bring a colorful cultural harmony.

Before and during the event, a series of community activities were carried out such as "Autumn in my eyes", a poetry - music - painting playground for children; the online photography contest "Moments of Hanoi memories"; the "Hanoi 5 gates" experience tour combined with The Hanoi Train; the "Touching Autumn Hanoi" series of Vietnam Airlines; or the Photo Tour "I, Hanoi" to explore 8 typical destinations around the capital.
The festival closed on the evening of November 23 with an art program and a ceremony to honor the accompanying units. Not only a cultural and tourism event, the 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival is also an invitation for everyone to find memories of Hanoi's autumn - the scent of milk flowers wafting through the streets, the sound of leaves gently falling by West Lake, or the feeling of peace when walking under the rows of yellow dracontomelon trees on Phan Dinh Phung.
“Hanoi Autumn - Autumn of Memories” will continue to create new memories, spreading the beauty of the capital to people and domestic and international tourists.
