On the morning of April 28, the Organizing Committee of the 2569th Buddha's Birthday Festival in Hue City launched 7 lotus flowers on the Perfume River, in front of the Nghinh Luong Dinh relic, Hue City.
This is an activity towards the Buddha's birthday 2569, and is also a masterpiece made by monks, nuns and Buddhists in Hue City, a symbol of Buddha's purity in everyday life.


Previously, 168 lotus petals were glued to the frame by Buddhist nuns from the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hue. They were then transported to the bank of the Perfume River.
Here, technicians completed the assembly of 7 lotus flowers, each lotus flower with a diameter of 7.6m, height of nearly 4m, weight of 300kg was launched; the boat pulled them to the designed position and positioned them on the Huong River. The distance between two lotus flowers is 200m.





According to the Organizing Committee of the Buddha's Birthday in Hue, the lighting ceremony of 7 lotus flowers on the Perfume River will be held on the evening of the 4th-4th lunar month instead of the evening of the 8th-4th lunar month as every year, and the 7 lotus flowers will be lit throughout the Buddha's birthday season, bringing sacredness to the river associated with the poetic and charming beauty of the ancient capital of Hue.
