On the morning of April 25, at the Labor Counseling and Support Center, the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross launched the Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love".

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung affirmed that the province's tradition of solidarity and humanity is clearly demonstrated through humanitarian activities and care for the disadvantaged in society.
In the 6 years since Hai Duong launched the Humanitarian Month, the whole province has made clear impressions. The provincial Red Cross Society has mobilized over 50 billion VND, supporting more than 70,000 people in difficult circumstances. On average, the voluntary blood donation movement collects more than 20,000 units of blood each year, exceeding the assigned target. In particular, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses that the province urgently implemented has supported 1,453 households in the spirit of "Leaving no one behind". Storm No. 3 in 2024 caused great damage, but with the spirit of solidarity and mutual love, Hai Duong promptly overcame the consequences and stabilized people's lives. "These numbers are not only results but also vivid proof of the affection and social responsibility of Hai Duong people", the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung informed that after the launching ceremony, Hai Duong continues to receive the hearts of children far from home to extend the journey of love. This weekend, the delegation of the Hai Duong Hometown Doctors Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Young Doctors Association will organize humanitarian medical examinations and treatment for families with meritorious services to the revolution, and people in difficult circumstances in Hai Duong.
To make the Humanitarian Month 2025 practical and effective, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung requested the Red Cross at all levels to continue to maintain its core role in advising, connecting and coordinating. Deploying humanitarian activities "right people, right work, right time". People's Committees of districts, towns and cities proactively review and propose cases in need of assistance, ensuring timely, public and transparent support.
The Departments of Health,Education and Training, Home Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism need to actively integrate humanitarian contents into health care, livelihood, learning and communication programs for all people. Media agencies should increase propaganda about good people, good deeds, good models, and effective initiatives to replicate and promote the spirit of mutual love and support. Organizations, businesses, philanthropists, officials, party members and all people continue to join hands in humanitarian activities. Every contribution today will be the foundation for a more humane, fair and progressive society tomorrow.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung hopes that Humanitarian Month in Hai Duong will not only stop at one month of the year but will be a long and lasting journey, a source of culture for the people of the Eastern region.
On this occasion, the Hai Duong Red Cross Society organized a donation to support a household in Thanh Ha district to build a Red Cross house, gave 20 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to 20 people in difficult circumstances in Thanh Mien district and donated 30 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties. In addition, the provincial Red Cross Society organized a voluntary blood donation that attracted many people to register to participate.
