(NADS) - On the afternoon of July 17, Canon introduced two latest full-frame mirrorless cameras in the EOS R series, the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II, to enhance the photography and filming experience for professional users.

Canon launches EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II with powerful specifications.

- EOS R1 (available in November 2024): 167,270,000 VND
- EOS R5 Mark II (available in early September 2024): 105,070,000 VND

Canon EOS R1: Pioneer in speed and quality

The EOS R1 is Canon's flagship mirrorless camera, equipped with a 24-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, which enables image resolution to be increased to 96 megapixels through the unique built-in Upscaling technology. The new Accelerated Capture and DIGIC X image processing systems help the camera achieve superior processing speed, improved autofocus (AF) and subject tracking capabilities thanks to deep learning algorithms.

The EOS R1 features In-Camera Upscaling and Neural Network Noise Reduction, which support fast shooting workflows and ensure high image quality without extensive editing. The new generation Dual Pixel Intelligent AF system and Action Priority AF mode help detect important movements in sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball.

Canon EOS R5 Mark II: Power and versatility

The EOS R5 Mark II inherits the advantages of the EOS R5 and is upgraded with a 45-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and Accelerated Capture processing system, allowing for fast and accurate data processing. It has features such as 8K 60p RAW video recording, Dual Pixel Intelligent AF, and neural network noise reduction.

With Eye Control AF, users can easily control the AF frame with their eyes. The improved Dual Pixel Intelligent AF system detects and tracks subjects more intelligently, especially useful at events and concerts.

Professional filming capabilities

Both cameras support video recording with advanced features from the Cinema EOS system. The EOS R5 Mark II is capable of recording 8K DCI 60p and 4K DCI 120p video, with a variety of options and tools such as Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, and in-camera LUTs. The EOS R1 also has powerful video recording capabilities with 5-axis image stabilization, reduced rolling shutter distortion, and support for 6K 60P RAW video recording.
