In recent times, the District Women's Union has been proactive, innovative and creative in directing the implementation in the direction of selecting contents related to women and children associated with the functions and tasks of the organization. Ms. Tran Thi Dinh Huong - President of the Ham Tan District Women's Union said: In recent times, the Union has focused on building communication activities to create changes in the awareness of members, women and the community. Not only through branch and group activities, models, social networks but also through radio stories and competitions. Along with that, the District Union coordinates with agencies and units to organize training and improve the capacity of cadres and propagandists. Knowledge on skills to prevent and combat gender violence, prevent drugs, prevent and combat child sexual abuse, etc. has been conveyed to thousands of women, union members, youth and people.

The implementation of the project is also linked to the emulation movement “Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families”, 2 campaigns “Building families with 5 no’s, 3 clean’s” and “Training moral qualities, self-confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility”, resolutions of women’s congresses at all levels. Thanks to that, knowledge about preserving and training moral qualities and awareness of law compliance, about parentingeducation , the role of women in ensuring food safety, preventing and combating gender-based violence, limiting social evils… becomes closer and can be implemented by everyone.
Launching the model "Women's group for propaganda and waste prevention"
In particular, the Ham Tan Women's Union has built, maintained and improved the effectiveness of advocacy models, supporting women to proactively solve social issues related to women. Currently, the district is maintaining 9 models with 96 groups with nearly 2,000 members, in all communes and towns. These include “Trusted address in the community”, the model “Building happy families – preventing domestic violence”, “Safety for women and children – Legal advice for women and children”, the club “Women with traffic safety”, “Group of capital contribution to buy health insurance”, “Women's group to propagate the law”… These are information channels for members who do not have the conditions to directly participate in the Association's activities and women who are not members of the Association to be supported, helped, shared experiences in life, in production and to expand the types of attracting women to participate, adapting to the 4.0 revolution period.
Ham Tan women are bold and confident in their activities.
Thanks to proactively and closely following the grassroots, over 3 years (2022 - 2025), the Association at all levels promptly helped 107 households escape poverty sustainably, including 86 poor households headed by women; completed 76 projects and tasks worth nearly 350 million VND to participate in new rural construction. Coordinated to participate in the mediation of 197 complaints related to marriage and family, land disputes, conflicts among the people and promptly transferred 85 complaints to competent authorities for settlement...
Ms. Tran Thi Dinh Huong affirmed: Project 938 not only creates positive changes in awareness but also arouses women's responsibility and action towards social issues around them. From propaganda work, policy dialogue to model building, legal consultation from the grassroots... all show the increasingly clear role of women in participating in management, supervision and building a civilized and progressive society. These efforts are contributing to building the image of Ham Tan women who are confident, responsible and families that are prosperous, equal, progressive and happy.
