Thua Thien - Hue From June 7, vehicles over 10 tons are restricted from entering Cam Lo - La Son expressway so that contractors can repair the embankment section through Huong An ward, Hue city.
Recently, the positive slope at km 69+900 through Huong An ward has been eroded due to the steep slope. The Ho Chi Minh Road Management Board has arranged for contractors to construct and stop vehicles many times, causing traffic jams on this section, causing frustration for drivers.
In order to thoroughly resolve this situation, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board has restricted trucks over 10 tons to help the contractor complete the repair and upgrade of the landslide section. The authorities will regulate and divert traffic at the intersection of Provincial Road 14B and the Hue City bypass in the area before and after the entrance to the intersection.
The contractor also arranged guidance signs at the entrances from National Highway 1, National Highway 9, Provincial Highway 14B and signs prohibiting trucks weighing over 10 tons at the beginning of the Provincial Highway 9 intersection, at the entrance of Tuan Bridge intersection (Km80+139), and Provincial Highway 14B intersection (Km101).

Vehicles will be notified from a distance of 500 meters, and reminded again 100 meters before Provincial Road 14B on the La Son - Tuy Loan route and the National Highway 1 intersection on the Cam Lo - La Son route.
The 98.3 km Cam Lo - La Son Expressway, with a total investment of VND7,700 billion, connecting Quang Tri with Thua Thien Hue, was inaugurated at the end of last year. The expressway starts at National Highway 9, Cam Hieu Commune, Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province; the end point is at Loc Son Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province.
In the first phase, the road will have 2 lanes with a cross-section of 12 m and a base width of 23 m; the overtaking sections will have 4 lanes, a base width of 23 m, and a speed limit of 60 km/h. After the completion phase after 2030, the road will have 4 lanes and a width of 23 m.
