South Korea and the US hold the largest live-fire exercise ever.

According to Yonhap news agency, the South Korean Presidential Office announced on June 15 that President Yoon Suk Yeol supervised the largest live-fire exercise ever conducted by South Korea and the US.

The exercise took place at the Seungjin Firepower Training Field in Pocheon, 25km south of the inter-Korean border. The event marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Korea-US alliance and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ROK Armed Forces. More than 610 military assets were mobilized in the exercise, including F-35A fighter jets and K9 self-propelled guns from the ROK side, F-16 fighter jets and Grey Eagle drones from the US, along with the participation of more than 2,500 ROK and US soldiers from 71 units.
