Dozens of houses in Muong Lat district had their roofs blown off and were damaged.

The most serious damage was in Trung Ly commune, where 1 house completely collapsed, 2 houses had their roofs completely blown off, and 3 houses had their roofs blown off by over 50%.

The remaining communes and towns have 57 households whose roofs were blown off by less than 30%. Specifically: Muong Chanh 10 houses, Pu Nhi 3 houses, Tam Chung 9 houses, Nhi Son 9 houses, Quang Chieu 19 houses and Muong Lat town 7 houses.

In addition, Nhi Son Secondary School in Nhi Son commune had the roof of the students' kitchen blown off.

It is known that a tornado accompanied by heavy rain occurred widely in the district on the evening of April 18. Apart from damage to houses, fortunately there were no human casualties.

Muong Lat district is asking local authorities and relevant forces to support people whose houses are damaged to overcome the damage and soon stabilize their lives.
