Many students with IELTS 8.0 were admitted early to grade 10 at "hot" public schools.

Accordingly, Phan Huy Chu High School divided the standard score into two levels for two types of classes. The natural science class takes 60.9 points, while the social science class takes 1 point lower, 59.9 points. The number of candidates admitted based on the transcript review method is 151 students.

Most of the successful candidates have excellent student awards at the city level or higher. There are only about 30 students who do not have excellent student awards but possess IELTS certificates of 6.5 or higher. Notably, there is 1 candidate who achieved IELTS 8.5. Many candidates have IELTS certificates of 7.5-8.0 even though they are 9th grade students.

The valedictorian of the natural science class is Nguyen Phuong Thao. This female student won third prize in the city-level English competition and IELTS 8.0. The total admission score is 68.

The valedictorian of the social science class is Doan Hanh Nhi, with a total admission score of 68.6, IELTS 7.5, and a consolation prize in the national traffic safety competition.

According to the school's announcement, parents need to register to reserve a seat for their children from 8:00 a.m. on May 19 to 4:30 p.m. on May 21.

This year, Phan Huy Chu Public High School has 400 quotas. The school reserves 150 quotas based on academic records and 250 quotas based on the results of the Department of Education and Training's public 10th grade exam. Last year, the school's benchmark score based on exam scores was 41.25.
